Prodigy Electronics, is an Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) of custom high technology embedded electronic components and products. Founded in 2001 in Hong Kong, Prodigy has in-house design centers located in Hong Kong SAR, China, and Chennai, India, and manufacturing centers located in Guangdong, China. Customers of Prodigy Electronics include blue chip companies such as Schnieder Electric, Thyssenkrupp Escalators, Microsoft and others. Products from Prodigy Electronics are presently used in more than 6000 bus of Hong Kong public transit network. Prodigy component divisions supports global customer's in manufacture of customer Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) from its manufacturing centers in China. Prodigy supports Printed Circuit Board requirements from 2L to 32L, with complex requirements including blind and buried via. Prodigy Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) division, provide customers the convenience of a one-stop shop through a Total Value-Added Package: from product design and development, through component sourcing, production planning and management, quality assurance to export documentation and shipping consolidation.

	2005	Prodigy delivers the full functional prototype units of the VEDA multimedia computer to Microsoft Corp.

	2004	City Bus Company and Kowloon Motor Bus Company, Kong deploy “Fare Selection Unit(FSU)' developed by Prodigy Electronics in the Octopus Automatic Fare Collection System .

		BEST Bus Company, Mumbai deploy on pilot basis Automatic Fare Collection(AFC) Devices developed by Prodigy Electronics.
